Ben Sawyer

Ben Sawyer is a 51-year-old stand-up comic with a deadpan style and a fondness for the darker side of everyday life. Gigging regularly for over a year across the North East comedy circuit, Ben’s material mixes sharp observations on single life, living alone, awkward middle age and the kind of funeral stories most families try not to tell in public.
A finalist in the Felt Nowt New Act of the Year 2026 competition, Ben has opened for Fran Garrity and once proudly supported the support act for Russell Kane — which he assures audiences absolutely still counts.
Dry, uncomfortable and deceptively understated, Ben delivers punchlines with the energy of a man reading out bad news in a dentist waiting room.
