ACT II: BRAINDEAD (Peter Jackson, 1992)
Before he dazzled the world with his famously awful Lord of The Rings trilogy, Peter Jackson was kind enough to give us this high-octane masterpiece of disgraceful zombie-related carnage. Whilst spying on her nervous son at her local zoo, Vera Cosgrove is mildly nibbled by a disgusting Sumatran Rat-Monkey. Then she turns into a zombie and lots of mad horrible stuff starts to happen.
Braindead is worth watching because it features a priest that can do kung-fu, a zombie with a garden gnome where his head should be, a puddle of intestines that yearns to be beautiful and an incredible finale involving a giant rotting vagina that eats people.
BRAINDEAD! It's funny, frenetic and totally unsuitable for people who don't enjoy watching a bunch of zombies who are mean to each other and love to eat scrambled eggs.
